Project Snapshot
About the Project
AMI supported the Byford Rail Extension through advanced OLE modelling, remodelling, digital twin delivery and as-built documentation workflows.
The project forms part of the approximately 8 km extension of the Armadale Line to Byford. Existing corridor information, including OLE engineering data, coordinate data, cross sections and point cloud data, was used to reconstruct and understand the existing rail environment.
Using ami.OLE, this information was read and translated into a coordinated 3D Revit model, improving consistency, modelling efficiency and accuracy across the rail corridor.
As part of delivery, the generated model was overlaid with the existing point cloud to verify asset positions and alignment between captured conditions and the digital model. The coordinated model also supported the preparation of BIM and as-built documentation for final project delivery.
Yo usaría esta versión. La última frase mete as-built documentation donde tiene sentido: como parte de la entrega, no como otro concepto suelto.
Our Workflow
01
Existing Information
Coordinate metadata, cross sections and point cloud data are used to reconstruct the existing rail corridor in 3D.
02
ami. OLE Remodelling
ami.OLE reads the input data and automates the creation of the 3D OLE model in Revit for faster, more consistent delivery.
03
Digital Twing Deliver
The generated model is overlaid with the existing point cloud to verify positions, check alignment and support accurate digital twin delivery.
