Project Snapshot
About the Project
AMI supported the Midland Rail Works through detailed OLE modelling and digital coordination workflows across approximately 2 km of rail corridor.
The project used existing rail corridor information, including OLE engineering data, coordinate data, reference geometry and point cloud information, to support the development of the model.
Using ami.OLE, this information was translated into a coordinated 3D Revit model, improving consistency, modelling efficiency and accuracy.
The model was then reviewed against existing point cloud data to verify asset locations and alignment with captured conditions.
Our Workflow
01
Existing Information
Coordinate metadata, cross sections and point cloud data are used to reconstruct the existing rail corridor in 3D.
02
OLE Design & modellining
ami.OLE reads the input data and automates the creation of the 3D OLE model in Revit for faster, more consistent delivery.
03
Digital Twing Delivery
The generated model is overlaid with the existing point cloud to verify positions, check alignment and support accurate digital twin delivery.
